In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 22 of the Family Law Reform Act 1969(1), I hereby make the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Blood Tests (Evidence of Paternity) (Amendment) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 15th August 1988.

2. For Schedule 2 to the Blood Tests (Evidence of Paternity) Regulations 1971(2)there shall be substituted the Schedule set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

3. The Blood Tests (Evidence of Paternity) (Amendment) Regulations 1987(3) are hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE 2CHARGES MADE BY SAMPLERS AND TESTERS

PART ISamplers

The charges which may be made by a sampler in respect of one direction requesting him to take samples shall be as follows:

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations increase the charges which may be made under the Blood Tests (Evidence of Paternity) Regulations 1971 in respect of blood tests carried out for the purpose of determining paternity in civil proceedings. These were last increased in August 1987 (S.I. 1987/1199).
