The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33(3) of the Petroleum and Submarine Pipe-lines Act 1975(1) (hereinafter referred to as "the Act") and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after giving those persons affected an opportunity of being heard with respect to the matter, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Submarine Pipe-lines (Designated Owners) (No. 6) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 1st June 1988.
2. For the purposes of Part III of the Act, each person specified in Part I of the Schedule hereto is hereby designated the owner of each pipe-line described in Part II of the Schedule.

Hunt Overseas Oil Inc., whose principal place of business in the United Kingdom is at Meadows House, 20/22 Queen Street, Mayfair, London W1X 8AR.
Kerr-McGee Oil (U.K.) p.l.c., whose registered office is at 75 Davies Street, Mayfair, London W1Y 1FA.
Lasmo North Sea p.l.c. whose registered office is at Bastion House, 140 London Wall, London EC2Y 5DN.

This Order designates the companies listed in Part I of the Schedule as owners of the pipe-lines described in Part II of the Schedule, which lie between offshore installations above the Beatrice oilfield, which is situated east of the Moray Firth.
