Whereas Her Majesty, in pursuance of the Regency Acts 1937 to 1953, was pleased, by Letters Patent dated the 15th day of June 1990 to delegate to the six Counsellors of State therein named or any two or more of them full power and authority during the period of Her Majesty's absence from the United Kingdom to summon and hold on Her Majesty's behalf Her Privy Council and to signify thereat Her Majesty's approval for anything for which Her Majesty's approval in Council is required:
And whereas Finland and Greece have become parties to the European Convention on the Suppression of Terrorism(1) signed at Strasbourg on 27th January 1977:
Now, therefore, His Royal Highness The Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and His Royal Highness The Prince Edward, being authorised thereto by the said Letters Patent, and in pursuance of sections 2 and 21 of the Extradition Act 1870(2) and section 37(3) of the Extradition Act 1989(3) and by and with the advice of Her Majesty's Privy Council, do on Her Majesty's behalf order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Extradition (Suppression of Terrorism) (Amendment) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 1st August 1990.
2. The Extradition (Suppression of Terrorism) Order 1978(4) shall be amended by adding to Schedule 2 the following entries:

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order applies Schedule 1 to the Extradition Act 1989 in the case of Finland and Greece, being States party to the European Convention on the Suppression of Terrorism (which was signed at Strasbourg on 27th January 1977), subject to and in accordance with the extradition treaties made with them as amended by the Convention.The Order comes into force on 1st August 1990.

1989 c. 33; by virtue of sections 1(3) and 37(3) of the Extradition Act 1989, where an Order in Council under section 2 of the 1870 Act was in force at the commencement of the 1989 Act in relation to a foreign state, Schedule 1 to the 1989 Act has effect in relation to that state; and the repeal of the 1870 Act does not affect such an Order in Council or the power to revoke or alter it.
