Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend Part I of Schedule 1 to the Regional and District Health Authorities (Membership and Procedure) Regulations 1990 which lists District Health Authorities in England which are to have at least one non-officer member who holds a post in a university with a medical or dental school, by substituting for "Bloomsbury Health Authority", "Bloomsbury and Islington Health Authority." This is in consequence of the merger of Bloomsbury Health Authority with Islington Health Authority which took place under the National Health Service (District Health Authorities) Order 1990 and the National Health Service (Determination of Regions and Districts) Amendment Order 1990.

1977 c. 49; Section 128(1) was amended by the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 (c. 19), section 26(2), and is cited for the definition of "prescribed".
