The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of powers conferred by sections 11 and 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby, makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Authorities for London Post-Graduate Teaching Hospitals (Constitution) Amendment Order 1990 and shall come into force on 8th October 1990.
2. The Authorities for London Post-Graduate Teaching Hospitals (Constitution) Order 1990(2) is amended:
(a)by the substitution for the word "to" in the third place where it occurs in article 3 of the word "shall";
(b)by the insertion before the words "Eastman Dental Hospital" in articles 5(2), 5(3) and 7(d) of the words "Board of Governors of the";
(c)by the substitution for the words "National Heart and Chest Hospital" in column (2) in Schedule 1 and in column (1) in Schedule 2 of the words "Royal Brompton National Heart and Lung Hospitals";
(d)by the substitution for the entry "The Brompton Hospital, London SW1" in column (2) in Schedule 2 of the entry "The Royal Brompton and National Heart Hospital, London SW3".
3. Nothing in article 2 of this Order shall affect any right or obligation of any body or person, and any document or instrument (whether made before or after the coming into force of this Order) which refers to the Board of Governors of the National Heart and Chest Hospital shall be read as if it referred to the Board of Governors of the Royal Brompton National Heart and Lung Hospitals.

This Order amends the Authorities for London Post-Graduate Teaching Hospitals (Constitution) Order 1990 by changing the name of the former Board of Governors of the National Heart and Chest Hospital to the Board of Governors of the Royal Brompton National Heart and Lung Hospitals.
The opportunity has been taken to amend the references in the 1990 Constitution Order to the Eastman Dental Hospital. These references should have been to the Board of Governors of the Eastman Dental Hospital.
1977 c. 49; there is an amendment to section 11 not relevant to this Order.
