1. The new highways which the Secretary of State proposes to construct -
(a)along the route described in Schedule 1 to this Order (the highway along this route being in this Order referred to as "the main new trunk road"); and
(b)along the routes described in Schedule 2 to this Order which connect the main new trunk road with other highways at the place stated in that schedule (the highways along these routes being in this Order referred to as "the slip roads"),
shall become trunk roads as from the date when this Order comes into force.
2. The centre line of the main new trunk road and of each of the slip roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan.
3. In this Order:-
(1) all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway;
(2) (i) "the deposited plan" means the plan numbered AJ.1.2 marked "The London-Folkestone-Dover Trunk Road A20 (Dawkinge Wood to Court Wood Section and Slip Roads) Order 1990, signed by authority of the Secretary of State, and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Stret, London, SW1P 3PY";
(2) (ii) "the trunk road" means the London-Folkestone-Dover Trunk Road (A20).
4. This Order shall come into force on 22nd September 1990 and may be cited as the London-Folkestone-Dover Trunk Road A20 (Dawkinge Wood to Court Wood Section and Slip Roads) Order 1990.

The route of the main new trunk road is a route at Court Wood in the District of Dover in the County of Kent, starting at a point on the trunk road 450 metres west of its junction with the access to the property known as "Court Wood" and proceeding north-westwards for a distance of 510 metres.
The routes of the slip roads are:-
Four routes to connect the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the new main trunk road and of the new trunk road to be provided in pursuance of the London-Folkestone-Dover Trunk Road A20 (Court Wood to Dover Section) Order 1990, with the roundabouts to be constructed as part of the existing Lndon-Folkestone-Dover Trunk Road (A20) at Court Wood and the new trunk roads along these routes being respectively given the reference letters A, B, C and D on the deposited plan.
