The Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Commencement No. 10) Order 1990

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 171(1) of the Criminal Justice Act 1988(1), I hereby make the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Commencement No. 10) Order 1990.

2. Section 29 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (issue of letters of request), with the exception of subsections (1)(b), (4) and (5) thereof, shall come into force on 12th March 1990.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 12th March 1990 certain provisions of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 concerning the issue of letters of request following the institution of criminal proceedings.
