The A16 Trunk Road (Stickford Bypass) (Detrunking) Order 1990

Coming into force

28th December 1990

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980(1), and now vested in him(2), and of all other enabling powers:

1. The lengths of the Trunk Road described in the schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be trunk roads as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of Lincolnshire that the new trunk roads are open for through traffic.

2. In this Order -

(1) all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway;

(i)(2) (i) "the deposited plan"

means the plan numbered HA10/EM77 marked "The A16 Trunk Road (Stickford Bypass)(Detrunking) Order 1990" signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY;

(ii)"the new trunk roads"

means the trunk roads to be constructed by the Secretary of State in pursuance of the A16 Trunk Road (Stickford Bypass) Order 1990(3); and

(iii)"the Trunk Road"

means the A16 Trunk Road.

3. This Order shall come into force on 28th December 1990 and may be cited as the A16 Trunk Road (Stickford Bypass) (Detrunking) Order 1990.

SCHEDULELENGTHS OF THE TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE A TRUNK ROAD

The lengths of the Trunk Road ceasing to be a trunk road, at Stickford in the County of Lincolnshire, are -

(1) between points 103 metres south of its junction with Back Lane and 39 metres west of its junction with Fenside (at Manor Farm Corner), a distance of 897 metres; and

(2) between points 144 metres north-east of its junction with Fenside (at Manor Farm Corner) and 251 metres south-west of its junction with Access Road No 2 (at Kitchens Corner), a distance of 671 metres.
