In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 13(3), (4) and (8) of the Social Security Act 1988(1) and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I hereby make the following Regulations:-
1.-(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Welfare Food Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 1990 and shall come into force on 10th April 1990.
(2) In these Regulations "the principal Regulations" means the Welfare Food Regulations 1988(2).
2. In regulation 5(1) of the principal Regulations (purchase of welfare food) and in regulation 10(2) of the principal Regulations (inability to purchase dried milk at a reduced price) for "£270" in each place where it occurs, there shall be substituted "£285".

One of Her Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Welfare Food Regulations 1988 by increasing the price of dried milk payable by persons entitled to purchase it under the Regulations from £270 to £285. The increase is consequent on the annual up-rating of benefits under section 63 of the Social Security Act 1986 (c. 50).
