1. The London-Brighton Trunk Road (A23 Hickstead) Order1987(3) (the"principal order") is hereby amended as follows-
(a)for article 2 of the principal order substitute the followingarticle-
"2.-(1) The centre line of the new trunk road between its starting pointand a point on the Trunk Road 360 metres north of its junction with JobsLane, and between a point 210 metres south of that lane and itsterminating points, is indicated by a heavy black line on the depositedplan.
(2) The centre line of the new trunk road between the said point on theTrunk Road 360 metres north of its junction with Jobs Lane and the saidpoint 210 metres south of that lane is indicated by a heavy black lineon the further deposited plan.";
(b)after sub-paragraph (i) in article 4(2) of the principal orderinsert the following sub-paragraph-
"(i)A"the further deposited plan" means the plan folio numbered PSE A23/2/65/2/3 marked"The London-�Brighton Trunk Road (A23 Hickstead) Order1987, Amendment Order 1991", containing one map, signed by authority of the Secretary of Stateand deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 MarshamStreet, London SW1P 3PY;"; and
(c)in the Schedule to the principal order, for the words"the Trunk Road and generally parallel to it, crossing Jobs Lane andbifurcating about 250 metres south of Jobs Lane," substitute the words-
", and generally parallel to, the Trunk Road to a point on that road360 metres north of its junction with Jobs Lane, then crossing that laneat a point 35 metres east of its junction with the Trunk Road andbifurcating about 250 metres south of that lane,".
2. That part of the heavy black line on the deposited plan, referred toin the principal order, which lies between a point on the Trunk Road 360metres north of its junction with Jobs Lane and a point on that road 210metres south of its junction with that lane, shall be disregarded.
3. This Order shall come into force on 27th May 1991 and may be citedas the London-Brighton Trunk Road (A23 Hickstead) Order 1987,Amendment Order 1991.
