The Secretary of State for the Environment, as respects England, andthe Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, in exercise of thepowers conferred on them by section 146(6) of, and paragraphs 1 and5(1)(p) of Schedule 11 to, the Local Government Finance Act 1988(1), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf,hereby make the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Valuation and Community ChargeTribunals (Amendment) (Allowances) (No.2) Regulations 1991 and shallcome into force on 11th June 1991 ("the operative date").
2. Each provision of Schedule 2 to the Valuation and Community ChargeTribunals Regulations 1989(2) mentioned in the Table below shall be amended inrelation to approved duties (within the meaning of that Schedule)performed on or after the operative date by substituting, for the amountmentioned in the second column of the Table ("the original amount"), the amount mentioned in the third column in relation to thatprovision, wherever in that provision the original amount is mentioned.

These Regulations increase the amounts of financial loss allowanceand certain travelling allowances prescribed in relation to theperformance of approved duties by members of valuation and communitycharge tribunals.
