The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred on him by sections 5(9) and 86(1) of the Weights and Measures Act 1985(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Weights and Measures (Local and Working Standard Weights and Testing Equipment) (Amendment) Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 2nd September 1991.
2. The Weights and Measures (Local and Working Standard Weights and Testing Equipment) Regulations 1986((2)) are hereby amended in Schedule 2 by substituting for Table 6 the following Table:

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend Schedule 2, Table 6 of the Weights and Measures (Local and Working Standard Weights and Testing Equipment) Regulations 1986 in which are prescribed the limits of error for test weights used by inspectors of weights and measures. The amendments made prescribe the limits of error for weights of 56 lb down to 14 lb and of 20 kg down to 5 kg.
