The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 124(3) of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990(1), hereby makes the following Order:-�
1. This Order may be cited as the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990 (Commencement No. 6) Order 1991.
2. Sections 4 and 112 of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990 shall come into force on 1st October 1991.
3. The provisions of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990 specified in the Schedule hereto shall come into force on 14th October 1991.

This Order brings into force on 1st October 1991 the provisions in sections 4 and 112 of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990 relating to costs. In addition, this Order brings into force, on 14th October 1991, provisions in the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990 relating to the Children Act 1989 and to foreign lawyers registering with the Law Society for various purposes.
