CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS

In exercise of the power conferred upon me by section 8(2) of the Children and Young Persons (Protection from Tobacco) Act 1991(1), I hereby make the following Order:
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Children and Young Persons (Protection from Tobacco) Act 1991 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1991.
(2) This Order shall extend to Northern Ireland only.
2. Section 8(6) and (7) of the Children and Young Persons (Protection from Tobacco) Act 1991 shall come into force on 11th November 1991.

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force in Northern Ireland on 11th November 1991 section 8(6) of the Children and Young Persons (Protection from Tobacco) Act 1991 (which provides for an Order in Council under paragraph 1(1)(b) of Schedule 1 to the Northern Ireland Act 1974 (c. 28) made only for purposes corresponding to those of the 1991 Act to be subject to annulment by resolution of either House instead of affirmative procedure).
