BETTING, GAMING AND LOTTERIES

The Gaming (Amendment) Act 1990 (Commencement) Order 1991

17th January 1991

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2(3) of the Gaming (Amendment) Act 1990 (1), I hereby make the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Gaming (Amendment) Act 1990 (Commencement) Order 1991.

2. Paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Schedule to the Gaming (Amendment) Act 1990 (amendment of the Gaming Act 1968 (2) to provide for the charging of fees in respect of applications for certificates consenting to the making of applications for the grant of licences under that Act or for the transfer of such licences) shall come into force on 1st April 1991.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 1st April 1991 paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Schedule to the Gaming (Amendment) Act 1990. The other provisions of that Act came into force, by virtue of section 2(2) of the Act, on 13th September 1990.
