The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 27L and 104 of the Telecommunications Act 1984(1) hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Competition and Service (Utilities) Act 1992 (Designation) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 1st July 1992.
2. The designated operators for the purposes of sections 27A to 27K of the Telecommunications Act 1984 shall be:
British Telecommunications plc
Kingston Communications (Hull) PLC

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order provides that the designated operators for the purposes of sections 27A to 27K of the Telecommunications Act 1984 (which were inserted by the Competition and Service (Utilities) Act 1992) shall be British Telecommunications plc and Kingston Communications (Hull) PLC.
1984 c. 12; section 27L was inserted by section 10 of the Competition and Service (Utilities) Act 1992 (c. 43).
