Whereas copies of the draft of this Order were laid before Parliament and, in accordance with section 2(3) of the Summer Time Act 1972(1), each House of Parliament has presented an Address to Her Majesty praying that this Order be made:
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 2(1)(a) of that Act, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Summer Time Order 1992 and shall come into force on the fourteenth day after the day on which it is made.
(2) This Order shall have effect in Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
(3) In this Order "the Act" means the Summer Time Act 1972.
2. In relation to the year 1993, the period of summer time for the purposes of the Act shall be the period beginning at one o'clock, Greenwich mean time, in the morning of 28th March 1993 and ending at one o'clock, Greenwich mean time, in the morning of 24th October 1993 instead of the period specified in section 1 of the Act.
3. In relation to the year 1994, the period of summer time for the purposes of the Act shall be the period beginning at one o"clock, Greenwich mean time, in the morning of 27th March 1994 and ending at one o"clock, Greenwich mean time, in the morning of 23rd October 1994 instead of the period specified in section 1 of the Act.

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order provides for the periods of summer time in the years 1993 and 1994 during which the time for general purposes in the United Kingdom will be one hour in advance of Greenwich mean time. The Order applies also to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, but not to the Bailiwick of Jersey or the Isle of Man which have their own legislation on the subject.
