Whereas the Government of Canada, in a declaration a copy of whcih is set out in the Schedule of this Order, has designated Alberta as a province or territory of Canada to which the Convention between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Canada providing for the Reciprocal Recognition and Enforcement of Judgments in Civil and Commercial Matters(1) shall extend:
And whereas it is expedient to specify that the courts of the Province of Alberta are recognised courts for the purposes of Part I of the Foreign Judgments (Reciprocal Enforcement Act) 1933(2):
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 1 of the said Act and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1. This Order shall come into force on 13th August 1992 and may be cited as the Reciprocal Enforcement of Foreign Judgments (Canada) (Amendment) Order 1992.
2. The Reciprocal Enforcement of Foreign Judgments (Canada) Order 1987(3) shall be amended by adding in article 3 (whcih names the Canadian courts, including the courts of Provinces, which are to be recognised courts for the purposes of Part I of the Foreign Judgments (Reciprocal Enforement) Act 1933 before "British Columbia", the word, "Alberta".

Canadian declaration extending to Alberta the Convention between Canada and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Providing for the Reciprocal Recognition and Enforcement of Judgments in Civil and Commercial Matters.
Pursuant to Article XII, the Government of Canada declares that in addition to the provinces of British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, the Yukon Territory and the Northwest Territories the Convention shall extend to the province of Alberta. An application in the province of Alberta for the registration of a judgment given by a court of the United Kingdom may be made in the Court of Queen's Bench of the province of Alberta.
Déclaration canadienne étendant à l'Aberta l'application de la Convention entre le Canada et le Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande du Nord pour assurer la reconaissance et l'exécution réciproque des jugements en matière civile et commerciale.
Conformément à l'article XII, le Canada déclare que la Convention déjà mise en oeuvre dans les provinces de la Colombie-Britanniaque, du Manitoba, du Nouveau-Brunswick, de la Nouvelle-Écosse, de l'Ontario, de la Saskatchewan, de l'Ille-du-Prince-Edouard, de Terre-Neuve dans le Territoire du Yukon et dans les Territories du Nord-Ouest est étendue à la province de l'Alberta. Une demande peut être soumise dans la province de l'Alberta en vue de l'enreistrement d'un juegment rendu par un tribunal du Royaume-Uni auprès de la Cour du Banc de la Reine de la province de l'Alberta.

These Order amends article 3 of the Reciprocal Enforcement of Foreign Judgments (Canada) Order 1987 so as to include the courts of the Province of Alberta as recognised courts for the purposes of Part I of the Foreign Judgments (Reprocal Enforcement) Act 1933.
A copy of the Convention is set out in the Schedule to S.I. 1987/468.
