In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 6(6) of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992(1), the Secretary of State for Education, as respects England, and the Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Further Education (Sponsoring Bodies) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 2nd November 1992.
2. The Secretary of State hereby specifies those institutions which are for the time being within the further education sector, other than the institution specified in the Schedule, as being the institutions to which section 6(5) of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 applies.

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order specifies those institutions to which section 6(5) of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 applies (requests by the governing bodies of institutions within the further education sector for financial support to be given to them by a Further Education Funding Council to be applied in respect of the provision of facilities by bodies outside the further education sector).
