(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order designates Her Majesty's Chief Inspectors of Schools in England and in Wales, and five limited companies as public bodies under the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970.

The effect of the designation is to allow a local authority to provide goods and services to those bodies. In the case of the companies, it may only do so so long as the provision is in connection with financial or other assistance to that body by any person for the purposes of the regeneration of any part of that authority's area.
