In exercise of the power conferred upon him by section 11(3) of the Knives Act 1997(1), the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Knives Act 1997 (Commencement) (No. 1) Order 1997.
2. Sections 1 to 7, 9 and 10 of the Knives Act 1997 shall come into force on 1st September 1997.

This Order brings into force on 1st September 1997 sections 1 to 7, 9 and 10 of the Knives Act 1997. Section 11 came into force on Royal Assent (19th March 1997).
