The Secretary of State, in pursuance of section 9(2) of the Police (Health and Safety) Act 1997(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Police (Health and Safety) Act 1997 (Commencement) Order 1998.
2. The Police (Health and Safety) Act 1997 shall, insofar as it is not already in force, come into force on 1st July 1998.

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 1st July 1998 those provisions of the Police (Health and Safety) Act 1997 not already in force. Sections 7, 8 and 9 of that Act came into force on Royal Assent.
