The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 4(3)(d) and 11 of the Outer Space Act 1986(1), hereby makes the following Regulations:-
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Outer Space Act 1986 (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 30 September 1998.
2. Paragraph (2) of regulation 3 of the Outer Space Act 1986 (Fees) Regulations 1989(2) is amended by substituting the sum of £6,500 for the sum of £1,000 specified in that paragraph.

These Regulations increase the prescribed fee payable on an application for a licence under the Outer Space Act 1986 made after 29th September 1998 from £1,000 to £6,500.
