(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Combined Probation Areas Order 1986 (S.I. 1986/1713) so as to reduce the number of justices on the committee for the North Yorkshire Area from 31 to 11. It further corrects a previous omission and refers to the full name of the petty sessions area of Northallerton & Richmond.
The petty sessions areas of Harrogate, Northallerton & Richmond, Scarborough, Selby, Skipton and York were previously represented by 8, 5, 7, 3, 2 and 6 justices respectively.
