The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1(1) and (2) and section 24(1) of the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning) (No. 2) Order 1998 Partial Revocation (No. 2) Order 1999 and shall come into force at 18.00 hours on 30th March 1999.
2. The Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning) (No. 2) Order 1998(2) insofar as it remains in force is revoked.

This Order revokes the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning) (No.2) Order 1998 ("the principal Order") insofar as it remains in force. The principal Order prohibited-�
(a)fishing for or taking scallops within the area designated in the Schedule to that Order (article 4);
(b)movement of such scallops out of that area (article 5); and
(c)landing, using in the preparation or processing for supply of food, supplying and other specified activities in relation to such scallops from the designated area within the United Kingdom (article 6).
The principal Order was partially revoked by the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning) (No. 2) Order 1998 Partial Revocation Order 1999 which removed the prohibitions in respect of the area of sea designated in the Schedule to that Order.
The effect of this Order is to remove the prohibitions in respect of the remainder of the area of sea designated in the Schedule to the principal Order.
1985 c. 48; section 1(1) and (2) were amended by section 51(2)(a) and (b) of the Food Safety Act 1990 (c. 16), and section 24(1) was amended by paragraph 29 of Schedule 3 to that Act; section 1(2) defines "designating authority" and section 24(1) defines "the Ministers".
