The Director General of Fair Trading in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 23, 27 and 42(2) of the Restrictive Trade Practices Act 1976(1) hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Registration of Restrictive Trading Agreements (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 24th January 2000.
2. The Registration of Restrictive Trading Agreements Regulations 1984(2) shall be amended as follows:
(a)in regulation 10 there shall be added at the end the words "and except for the period beginning on 24th January 2000 and ending on 5th February 2000"; and
(b)in regulation 11 and in note 10 of the Notes for guidance set out in the Schedule there shall be added at the end the following words-
"until 27th January 2000 and after that date to-

These Regulations amend the Registration of Restrictive Trading Agreements Regulations 1984 (which relate to the furnishing of restrictive trading agreements to the Director General of Fair Trading in accordance with the Restrictive Trade Practices Act 1976 and to public inspection of the register of such agreements kept by him under that Act) to provide a new address for the delivery of particulars and close the register to public inspection while it is being transferred to the new address.
1976 c. 34; a new paragraph (b) of section 23(3) was substituted by section 11 of the Deregulation and Contracting Out Act 1994 (c. 40). Sections 23 and 27 of the 1976 Act are prospectively repealed by the Competition Act 1998 (c. 41), Schedule 14, subject to the saving in paragraph 10(5) of Schedule 13 to that Act.
