REGISTRATION OF POLITICAL PARTIES

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 25(2) of the Registration of Political Parties Act 1998(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Political Parties Act 1998 (Commencement) Order 1999.
2. Sections 13, 14 and 15 of, and Schedule 2 and paragraph 3 of Schedule 3 to, the Registration of Political Parties Act 1998 shall come into force on 24th March 1999.

(This note is not part of the Order)
The provisions of the Registration of Political Parties Act 1998 referred to in section 25(1) of that Act were brought into force on Royal Assent. The remaining provisions of that Act, other than the provisions brought into force by this Order, were brought into force two weeks after Royal Assent by section 25(3). Accordingly, with this Order, all of the provisions of that Act have been brought into force.
