In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 5(2) of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998(1), the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Crime and Disorder Strategies (Prescribed Descriptions) (Amendment) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 10th March 2000.
2. Article 2(2) of the Crime and Disorder Strategies (Prescribed Descriptions) Order 1998(2) shall be amended by adding at the end
"(g)the National Assembly for Wales, if the area is in Wales."(3).

This Order amends the Crime and Disorder Strategies (Prescribed Descriptions) Order 1998 (S.I. 1998/2452) by adding the National Assembly for Wales to article 2 of that Order, which prescribes descriptions of persons or bodies who are required to co-operate with local authorities and chief officers of police in the formulation and implementation of strategies for the reduction of crime and disorder within local government areas.
The National Assembly for Wales was created by section 1 of the Government of Wales Act 1998 (c. 38).
