The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and section 5(1) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990(2) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, on the application of the Southend Community Care Services National Health Service Trust and the Thameside Community Healthcare National Health Service Trust(3), and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter Act(4), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Southend Community Care Services and the Thameside Community Healthcare National Health Service Trusts (Dissolution) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 1st April 2000.
2. The Southend Community Care Services National Health Service Trust established by the Southend Community Care Services National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order(5) and the Thameside Community Healthcare National Health Service Trust established by the Thameside Community Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment Order)(6) are hereby dissolved, and accordingly those Orders are hereby revoked.

This Order provides for the dissolution on 1st April 2000 of the Southend Community Care Services National Health Service Trust and the Thameside Community Healthcare National Health Service Trust.
This Order should be read in conjunction with the South Essex Mental Health and Community Care National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 2000(7).
1977 c. 49; section 126(3) was amended by section 65(2) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 (c. 19) ("the 1990 Act") and by paragraph 57 of Schedule 1 to the Health Authorities Act 1995 (c. 17) ("the 1995 Act") and by section 41(10) of and paragraph 27 of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service (Primary Care) Act 1997 (c. 46).
1990 c. 19. Section 5 was amended by paragraph 69 of Schedule 1 to the 1995 Act and by the Health Act 1999 (c. 8) section 13.
