EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This Note does not form part of the Regulations)

These Regulations replace paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 to the European Communities (Recognition of Qualifications and Experience) (Third General System) Regulations 2002 (the original Regulations) since it was defective in that instrument. They correct the cross references in paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 so that the flexibility provisions for recognising practical experience in place of formal training match the legal effect of the relevant provisions in the Directive. Consequently they are issued free to all those who have bought copies of the original Regulations.

This change does not necessitate any change in the Transposition Notes made available with the original Regulations.

A human rights certificate relating to the original Regulations and to these Regulations has been given.
