CUSTOMS AND EXCISE

The Excise Duties (Personal Reliefs) (Revocation) Order 2002

  Made 28th October 2002 
  Laid before the House of Commons 29th October 2002 
  Coming into force 1st December 2002 

The Commissioners of Customs and Excise, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 13 of the Customs and Excise Duties (General Reliefs) Act 1979[1] hereby make the following Order:

     1. This Order may be cited as the Excise Duties (Personal Reliefs) (Revocation) Order 2002 and comes into force on 1 December 2002.

    
2. The Excise Duties (Personal Reliefs) Order 1992[2] and the Excise Duties (Personal Reliefs) (Amendment) Order 1999[3] are revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order, which comes into force on 1 December 2002, revokes the Excise Duties (Personal Reliefs) Order 1992 (S.I. 1992/3155) and the Excise Duties (Personal Reliefs) (Amendment) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/1617).

[1] 1979 c. 3; section 13 was amended by the Finance Act 1984 (c. 43), section 15, and by the Finance (No. 2) Act 1992 (c. 48), Schedule 1, paragraph 8, and Schedule 3, paragraph 93; section 18(2) applies the definition of "the Commissioners" in section 1(1) of the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979 (c. 2) as meaning the Commissioners of Customs and Excise.back
