SPORTS GROUNDS AND SPORTING EVENTS

The Safety of Sports Grounds (Designation) (No.2) Order 2003

  Made 24th June 2003 
  Laid before Parliament 25th June 2003 
  Coming into force 19th July 2003 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 1(1) of the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975[1], and after such consultation as is mentioned in section 18(4) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement
     1. This Order may be cited as the Safety of Sports Grounds (Designation) (No.2) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 19th July 2003.

Designation
    
2. The sports ground specified in the Schedule to this Order (being a sports ground in England at which association football matches are played, which is occupied by a club which is a member of the Football League Limited or the Football Association Premier League Limited, and which in the opinion of the Secretary of State has accommodation for more than 5,000 spectators) is hereby designated as a sports ground requiring a safety certificate under the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975[2].

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order designates Huish Park stadium in Yeovil as a sports ground requiring a safety certificate under the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975.
