ROAD TRAFFIC

The M6 Toll Wide Load Routes (Speed Limit) Regulations 2003

  Made 21st August 2003 
  Laid before Parliament 29th August 2003 
  Coming into force 25th September 2003 

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 17(2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 134(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement
     1. These Regulations may be cited as the M6 Toll Wide Load Routes (Speed Limit) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 25th September 2003.

Imposition of speed limit
    
2.  - (1) No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour on any carriageway forming part of the wide load route which bypasses any of the following toll lane areas on the M6 Toll motorway -

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)


These Regulations impose a maximum speed limit of 30 miles per hour on driving any motor vehicle on a carriageway forming part of the wide load route which bypasses specified toll lane areas on the M6 Toll.
