ENERGY

The Sustainable Energy Act 2003 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2003

  Made 19th November 2003 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred upon her by section 9(5) and (8) of the Sustainable Energy Act 2003[1], hereby makes the following Order:

Citation
     1. This Order may be cited as the Sustainable Energy Act 2003 (Commencement No.1) Order 2003.

Commencement of provision
     2. Section 5 of the Sustainable Energy Act 2003(a) shall come into force on 28th November 2003.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order brings into force on the 28th November 2003 section 5 of the Sustainable Energy Act 2003.

Section 5, which applies to England and Wales, requires the Secretary of State before the end of 2003 to make a statement specifying at least one CHP target and the period to which the target relates.
