EDUCATION, ENGLAND

The Education (School Performance Information) (England) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2005

  Made 22nd August 2005 
  Laid before Parliament 26th August 2005 
  Coming into force 16th September 2005 

In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Secretary of State by sections 408, 537A(1) and (2) and 569(4) of the Education Act 1996[1] and after consulting with those persons with whom consultation appeared to the Secretary of State to be desirable, the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation, commencement and application
     1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Education (School Performance Information) (England) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 16th September 2005.

    (2) These Regulations shall apply only in relation to England.

Interpretation
    
2. In these Regulations any reference to the "Principal Regulations" is a reference to the Education (School Performance Information) (England) Regulations 2001[2].

Amendments to the Principal Regulations
     3. The Principal Regulations shall be amended in accordance with regulations 4 to 11.

    
4. In regulation 7, insert the words "and the proprietor of every Academy" after the words "secondary school".

    
5. For regulation 8 substitute the following regulation—

(c) for paragraph 1 substitute the following paragraph—

(This note is not part of the Regulations)


These Regulations amend the Education (School Performance Information) (England) Regulations 2001.

The principal amendments will—
