EDUCATION, ENGLAND

The Education (Local Education Authority Performance Targets) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2006

  Made 28th November 2006 
  Laid before Parliament 6th December 2006 
  Coming into force 28th December 2006 

In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Secretary of State by sections 29(3) and 569(4) of the Education Act 1996[1] and sections 102 and 120(1) of the Education Act 2005[2] the Secretary of State for Education and Skills makes the following Regulations:

Citation, commencement and application
     1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Local Education Authority Performance Targets) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2006 and shall come into force on 28th December 2006.

    (2) These Regulations apply in relation to England.

Amendment of Regulations
    
2. The Education (Local Education Authority Performance Targets) (England) Regulations 2005[3] are amended as follows.

     3. In paragraph 1 of regulation 2 (Interpretation)—

     4. —(1) In paragraph 3 of the Schedule (approved qualification targets)—

     5. In paragraph 7 of the Schedule (GCSE and approved qualification targets for looked after children)—

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)


These Regulations amend the Education (Local Education Authority Performance Targets) (England) Regulations 2005 (S.I. 2005/2450) ("the principal Regulations").

The principal amendments will—

Some consequential drafting amendments are made (regulation 3).
