The Cattle Identification (Amendment) Regulations 2007

  Made 27th March 2007 
  Laid before Parliament 30th March 2007 
  Coming into force 1st May 2007 

The Secretary of State, who is a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972[1] in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Community[2] and in relation to measures in the veterinary and phytosanitary fields for the protection of public health[3], makes the following Regulations.

Title, application and commencement
     1. These Regulations may be cited as the Cattle Identification (Amendment) Regulations 2007; they apply in England and come into force on 1st May 2007.

Amendment to the Cattle Identification Regulations 2007
    
2. The Cattle Identification Regulations 2007[4] are amended by adding after regulation 3(3) the following paragraph—

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)


These Regulations correct an error in the Cattle Identification Regulations 2007 so as to make it an offence to fail to notify a holding under regulation 3.

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
