The Constitutional Reform Act 2005 (Commencement No. 10) Order 2008

The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 148 of the Constitutional Reform Act 2005(1).

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Constitutional Reform Act 2005 (Commencement No. 10) Order 2008.

Commencement of section 8 of the Constitutional Reform Act 2005

2. Section 8 of the Constitutional Reform Act 2005(2) shall come into force when this Order is made.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force section 8 of the Constitutional Reform Act 2005 (c.4) which provides for the appointment of a Head and Deputy Head of Criminal Justice in England and Wales.
