This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraphs 8(1) of Schedule 8 and 3(1) of Schedule 10 to the Traffic Management Act 2004(1).
Worcestershire County Council has applied to the Secretary of State for an order to be made under these powers in respect of part of its area.
The Secretary of State has consulted the Chief Constable of the West Mercia Police in accordance with the requirements of paragraphs 8(3) of Schedule 8 and 3(4) of Schedule 10.
Accordingly, the Secretary of State for Transport(2) makes this Order.
1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (County of Worcestershire) (Borough of Redditch) Designation Order 2009 and shall come into force on 31st March 2009.
2. The Secretary of State designates the area of the Borough of Redditch, being part of the area of Worcestershire County Council, as–
(a) a civil enforcement area for parking contraventions; and
(b) a special enforcement area.

This Order designates the whole of the area of the Borough of Redditch as a civil enforcement area in respect of parking contraventions, and as a special enforcement area, for the purposes of Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
