These Regulations amend the Church of England Pensions Regulations 1988 ("the 1988 Regulations") which contain provisions relating to the Church of England Pensions Scheme ("the Past Service Scheme").
Regulation 2 amends the 1988 Regulations so that a scheme member who has held office as dean of the cathedral church of the diocese of Sodor and Man will not thereby be entitled to have a dean's multiplier applied to the full basic pension for the purpose of calculating the rate of pension to which he or she is entitled under the Past Service Scheme.
S.I. 1988/2256. The Church of England Pensions Regulations 1988 were amended, so far as relevant to these Regulations, by the Church of England Pensions Regulations 1997 (S.I. 1997.1929).
