The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1063(1) to (3) of the Companies Act 2006(1).
1.-(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Registrar of Companies (Fees) (European Economic Interest Grouping) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 and come into force on 6th April 2011.
(2) In these Regulations "the Main Regulations" means the Registrar of Companies (Fees) (European Economic Interest Grouping and European Public Limited-Liability Company) Regulations 2009(2).
2. Schedule 2 to the Main Regulations is amended as follows-
(a)in paragraph 3(a) in the second column (amount of fee) for "£5.00" substitute "£4.00",
(b)in paragraph 3(f)(i) in the second column (amount of fee) for "£50.00" substitute "£60.00",
(c)in paragraph 3(f)(ii) in the second column (amount of fee) for "£15.00" substitute "£20.00",
(d)in paragraph 3(f)(iii) in the second column (amount of fee) for "£15.00" substitute "£20.00",
(e)in paragraph 3(f)(iv) in the second column (amount of fee) for "£50.00" substitute "£60.00",
(f)in paragraph 4(a) in the second column (amount of fee) for "£5.88" substitute "£4.70",
(g)in paragraph 6(a) in the second column (amount of fee) for "£5.88" substitute "£4.70",
(h)in paragraph 7(h)(i) in the second column (amount of fee) for "£15.00" substitute "£20.00",
(i)in paragraph 7(h)(iii) in the second column (amount of fee) for "£50.00" substitute "£60.00",
(j)in paragraph 7(i)(i) in the second column (amount of fee) for "£15.00" substitute "£20.00",
(k)in paragraph 7(i)(iii) in the second column (amount of fee) for "£50.00" substitute "£60.00",
(l)in paragraph 8(f)(i) in the second column (amount of fee) for "£15.00" substitute "£20.00",

3. The fees prescribed by regulation 2 apply-
(a)in relation to paragraphs (a), (f) and (g) in respect of a subscription payable on or after 6th April 2011;
(b)in relation to other paragraphs in that regulation in respect of an application received by the registrar on or after 6th April 2011.

These Regulations amend the Registrar of Companies (Fees) (European Economic Interest Grouping and European Public Limited-Liability Company) Regulations 2009 (S.I. 2009/2403) ("the Main Regulations"), which require payment of fees in respect of functions performed by the registrar of companies relating to European Economic Interest Groupings ("EEIGs") and European Public Limited-Liability Companies.
These Regulations only amend fees in the Main Regulations in respect of EEIGs.
Regulation 2 amends the Main Regulations by:
(1) reducing the monthly subscription fee for Companies House Direct from £5.00 to £4.00,
(2) reducing the monthly subscription fee for Extranet and XML from £5.88 to £4.70,
(3) increasing the fee for certified copies from £15.00 to £20.00, and where such copies are required for same day delivery or collection the fee is increased from £50.00 to £60.00.
The fees changes apply with effect from 6th April 2011.
