The Secretary of State for Health makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 176 and 272(7) of the National Health Service Act 2006(1).
1.-(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Dental Charges) Amendment Regulations 2011 and come into force on 1st April 2011.
(2) These Regulations apply in relation to England.
2.-(1) The National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 2005(2) are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 4 (calculation of charges)-
(a)in paragraph (1), for "£16.50" substitute "£17.00";
(b)in paragraph (2), for "£45.60" substitute "£47.00";
(c)in paragraph (3), for "£198.00" substitute "£204.00";
(d)in paragraph (4), for "£198.00" substitute "£204.00"; and
(e)in paragraph (5), for "£16.50" substitute "£17.00".

These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 2005 ("the Dental Charges Regulations"). Regulation 2(2) of these Regulations amends regulation 4 of the Dental Charges Regulations to increase the applicable charge payable for courses of treatment. The charges payable for Band 1, Band 2 and Band 3 courses of treatment increase by 3% respectively.
A full Impact Assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sector is foreseen.
