The Allocation and Transfer of Proceedings (Amendment) Order 2012

The Lord Chancellor, after consulting the Lord Chief Justice, makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 92(6) of and Part 1 of Schedule 11 to the Children Act 1989(1).

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Allocation and Transfer of Proceedings (Amendment) Order 2012 and shall come into force on 2nd April 2012.

Revocation of jurisdiction

2. Dewsbury County Court, Ilford County Court and Keighley County Court shall cease to be family hearing centres.

Amendments to the Allocation and Transfer of Proceedings Order 2008

3. The Allocation and Transfer of Proceedings Order 2008(2) shall be amended by omitting the entries in Schedule 1 (classes of county court) to that Order relating to:

(a)Dewsbury County Court;

(b)Ilford County Court; and

(c)Keighley County Court.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Allocation and Transfer of Proceedings Order 2008 so that Dewsbury County Court, Ilford County Court and Keighley County Court cease to be family hearing centres as of 2nd April 2012.
