The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 166 of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980(1).
In accordance with section 166(2) of that Act the Secretary of State has consulted the councils of the London boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest (being the local authorities in whose area the relevant urban development area is situated).
1. This Order may be cited as the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation (Dissolution) Order 2013 and shall come into force on 24th January 2013.
2. The London Thames Gateway Development Corporation shall be dissolved on 28th February 2013.

By virtue of section 166(3) of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980, on the coming into force of this Order the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation will cease to act except for the purpose of preparing its final accounts and report and winding up its affairs. The corporation will be dissolved on 28th February 2013.
No Impact Assessment has been prepared for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
