The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 53 of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988(1).
Representative organisations have been consulted in accordance with section 88(2) of that Act.
1. This Order may be cited as the Fixed Penalty (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2013 and comes into force on 15th August 2013.
2.-(1) The Fixed Penalty (Amendment) Order 2013(2) is amended as follows.
(2) In article 2 (amendment of the Fixed Penalty Order 2000), for item 27 in the table substitute-
"27 | Any other fixed penalty offence except for a fixed penalty parking offence | £50 |
28 | Any other fixed penalty parking offence | £30" |

This Order amends the Fixed Penalty (Amendment) Order 2013 ("the main instrument") to correct an error and is therefore being issued free of charge to all known recipients of the main instrument.
The main instrument amends the Fixed Penalty Order 2000 (S.I. 2000/2792, "the 2000 Order") which prescribes fixed penalties for fixed penalty offences.
The effect of Article 2 is to substitute an amended item 27 and a new item 28 in the table at Schedule 1 to the 2000 Order with the effect that the fixed penalty amount for parking offences outside Greater London remains unaltered at £30.
A full impact assessment of the effect that the main instrument will have on the costs for the business and voluntary sectors has been produced and is available from the Road User Licensing, Insurance, and Safety Division, Department for Transport, Great Minster House, 33 Horseferry Road, London SW1P 4DR (telephone 020 7944 4715). 1988 c.53; section 53 was substituted by section 48 of, and paragraph 102 of Schedule 4 to, the Road Traffic Act 1991 (c.40) and sub-section (2) was subsequently substituted by section 3 of the Road Safety Act 2006 (c.49).
