The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 17(4) of the Defamation Act 2013(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Defamation Act 2013 (Commencement) (England and Wales) Order 2013.
2. The Defamation Act 2013 comes into force on 1st January 2014 so far as it is not already in force.

This Order brings into force, in England and Wales, those provisions of the Defamation Act 2013 (c. 26) that did not come into force on Royal Assent.
