The Secretary of State for Education makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 29(5) of the Children, Schools and Families Act 2010(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Children, Schools and Families Act 2010 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2013.
2. 15th April 2013 is the appointed day for the coming into force of section 8 of the Children, Schools and Families Act 2010.

This Order is the third Commencement Order made by the Secretary of State for Education under the Children, Schools and Families Act 2010 ("the Act") and brings into force section 8 of the Act on 15th April 2013.
Section 8 of the Act inserts section 14B into the Children Act 2004(2). Section 14B gives Local Safeguarding Children Boards in England the power to request any person or body to supply such information as is specified in the request either to the Local Safeguarding Children Board or to another person or body.
