The Secretary of State for Education makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by sections 78(6) of the Children and Families Act 2014(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Special Educational Needs (Code of Practice) (Appointed Day) Order 2014.
2. The day appointed for the coming into force of the "Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice: 0 to 25 years" is 1st September 2014.

This Order appoints 1st September 2014 as the day on which the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice: 0 to 25 years comes into force. The Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice is issued by the Secretary of State under section 77 of the Children and Families Act 2014 and provides guidance on the exercise of functions under Part 3 of that Act.

No impact assessment has been prepared for this Order as there is no impact on the private and voluntary sector.
