The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(1), 53A(2) and 320(1) and (7)(ca) of the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008(1), makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Homes and Communities Agency (Transfer of Property etc.) Regulations 2015 and come into force on 4th August 2015.

Specified public bodies for the purposes of section 53A of the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008

2.  The public bodies shown in the Schedule to these Regulations are specified for the purposes of section 53A (other property etc transfers to the HCA) of the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

Section 53A(1) of the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008 allows the Secretary of State to make one or more schemes for the transfer to the Homes and Communities Agency of designated property, rights or liabilities of a specified public body. These Regulations specify a number of public bodies for this purpose.

A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen. An Explanatory Memorandum is available alongside the instrument at www.legislation.gov.uk.
