The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 89(4)(b) of the Pension Schemes Act 2015(1), makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pension Schemes Act 2015 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2015.
2. The following provisions of the Pension Schemes Act 2015 come into force on 16th November 2015-
(a)section 77 (payments into Remploy Limited Pension and Assurance Scheme), and
(b)section 81 (extension to Scotland of certain provisions about marriage of same sex couples).

These Regulations are the first commencement regulations made under the Pension Schemes Act 2015 (c. 8) ("the Act").
Regulation 2 brings into force sections 77 and 81 of the Act on 16th November 2015.
An impact assessment of the effect that the Act will have on the costs of business and the voluntary sector has been produced and a copy is available at http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/8/impacts . No separate impact assessment has been produced for this instrument.
